Marlow Country Fayre (temporarily?) ceases trading
Unfortunately Marlow Country Fayre has ceased trading because of the surrender in December 2012 of the street licence by the organisers, due to personal circumstances. The way is open for someone else to apply, and thus resurrect the market. The street licence process is administered by Wycombe District Council.

Despite mixed weather and the rival attractions of many other Bank Holiday events, last August’s inaugural Wycombe Harvest Local Food event drew a steady stream of visitors to High Wycombe’s High Street.
Visitors sampled the diverse fare offered by a variety of local food businesses, were entertained by chefs in the demonstration kitchen, and explored a range of food-themed stalls put on by local not-for-profit organisations. Children got stuck in to butterfly-painting activities, whilst gentle live music aided the relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
As well as enjoying the day, it is hoped the event helped to open people’s eyes to some of the small-scale producers on our doorstep, and to encourage them to support local food all year-round. The event website www.wycombe-harvest.co.uk has short descriptions of several of the stallholders.
