James Robertson & John M Bunzel “Monetary Reform Making It Happen”

ISBN 0 9546727 0 4. Published in 2003 by the International Policy Organisation. Just 80 pages long including Further Reading and Resources this barely qualifies as a pamphlet and is a very quick read. You can easily download articles from the web for free, on the desperate need for monetary reform, that are longer than James Robertson’s two chapters. James is a Stalwart of the New Economics Foundation and prolific writer on Monetary Reform. He sleepwalks through this but I did like the section of criticisms and answers on reform. The criticisms are so good and his answers so weak as to mostly undermine his own case. Continue reading

Richard Duncan “The Dollar Crisis”

ISBN 0 470 82170 1. Published by John Wiley & Sons in 2005. Full title: “The Dollar Crisis: Causes, Consequences, Cures” by Richard Duncan. This edition revised and updated from the original published in 2002. As such the first four sections remain as per the original book with the author adding a fifth part to update the work. Duncan is a Financial Analyst and Consultant for the International Monetary Fund. He is mainstream – one of the ‘stratos dwellers’. You will see nothing in this book about social justice, global warming or Peak Oil. However his findings are still profound and strike to the very heart of the petrodollar Empire. Continue reading
